Always motivating to read about other people's plans.
1. Complete one project a month. Keep a journal with a picture of each project. Knitting counts, I seem to do more of that in the winter. My goal is to reach 36 projects in three years. Hopefully, something wonderful will happen in my life in about 30 months that will free up more time for quilting.
2. Severely cut down on fabric buying except to finish projects. (Am doing better on this).
3. Find a small group to sew with (I work full time so this isn't that easy).
4. Make at least one project from a quilting book I already own.
5. Sort through my quilting mags and pass some along.
Phew, I better stop thinking up goals and start working on this!
Thanks, everybody for the inspiration!

i want to stop buying so much fabric im drowning in it. so im going to vow to shop my stash first and only buy backings and if i absolutely dont have anything to match. i want to do more scrappy quilts this year. i also want to learn a couple new techniques. get more organized so i can find and finish at least 10 of those ufos hiding in there. i also want to make a resolution when im getting organized to dump that fabric i wont use. theres no use in hanging on to something i cant look at. pls wish me luck im desperately going to need it lol.

After breaking my finger or fingers end of July, I am learning to retype. Who would think it is taking this long and how much movement I lost?

This week I visited my sewing room for the first time; I learned how to thread a needle and used a rotary cutter once again; I sewed a fabric baby book. My grandbaby LOVED the book. We both were HAPPY. My goal - BE HAPPY and enjoy each day I get to accomplish anything QUILTING! I feel so BLESSED! Looking forward to 2013.

You all have some wonderful ideas/goals. Since I broke my arm in November, my first goal is to get my therapy done so I can sew again.... that will take up January. Hopefully I will be back to sewing in February.

My second goal is to finish a few UFOs.... I think 5 would be my max.

My third goal is to finish a quilt for my great nephew and one for the new great niece due in February. Then I will be caught up on those.

My fourth goal is to stay healthy so I can keep sewing and quilting.... getting older makes that a challenge in itself.

I hope 2013 is a great year for everyone!

I would like to finish several of the UFOs I have stashed away. Plus I have 3 charity quilts that need a backing and then quilting.

I would like to make a batik quilt for me. Possibly a couple lap quilts for Christmas gifts (2013).

I also want to make a bargello quilt.

I want to move a sewing machine from downstairs to my sewing room upstairs. Thought I'd use it down here bit it isn't happening. Moving it will call for some rearranging and reorganization, plus some destashing of books, patterns, and fabrics.

I think this is enough to get me started.

Good luck on all your goals.

First and foremost on my list is to finally decide on a quilt pattern for this year's blackk and white Family Reunion Quilt July 4, and getting to my niece a few months before that so my niece can LAQ it on her new long -arm (I'm so jealous - but realistically she does have the space for it and I don't). Then I want to finish a one-patch quilt for my sister's second GGD. I did finish one for the older sister - we were supposed to do it together, but unfortunatley Mary Ann died before that could happen. I did finish one for first GGD, thought I had sent it to her, however, it didn't because I fell, ruptured a disk in my neck, required surgery, then rehab and when I finally was able to figure out what happened while I was away I found the quilt. Big OOPS. So, to redeem myself, I'm making a twin quilt to match the first one for the second GGD this year. Then my DIL wants me to make Zoe, my GD a twin-size bed for her quilt, a queen size quilt for their bed, and the list goes on. So my biggest goal is to make sure I quilt an hour or two at least a day and getting them done.

sounds good -- I would like to finish my Baltimore Album quilt (QB from year before last) -- I am stuck on the part where the 12 blocks need to sashed and fitted around the first border which is around the center panel -- just can't get enthused to do it -- I also need to start a tshirt quilt which has been put off for awhile -- then there are all the neat patterns and blocks I would like to use -- the list goes on -- time for inspiration!!

My goals for 2013:

1. Complete at least one UFO each month (and there are many)
2. Sort and USE my scraps
3. No fabric purchase unless it is absolutely needed to finish a project.
(I went overboard this year and to make it even harder, my son gave me Joanns gift card for $150.00 this Christmas that has been burning a hole in my purse)
4. Work on improving my longarm FMQ skills.
5. Make one quilt from solids only

Ambitious but I am going to give it my best shot.
