OKAY, OKAY, OKAY. I am going out to my sewing room right now. I am going to get going on a quilt that is on my long arm, and get it finished. I have been avoiding it for far far too long. It is a quilt my mother and grandmother put together, and I promIsed to finish it for my great niece. I AM GOING right now. i will not do any more reading on this board. I really am going out there right NOW...... NOW..... but it's cold out there..but I need to start dinner...NO NO NO. RIGHT NOW!

Cosy get out there and get busy. Once you get going, you'll warm up.

Dinner? Haven't you heard the saying, "I learned how to quilt and forgot how to cook!"??

Now get going!!!

Dublb - I love your blue & yellow blocks! That is one of my favorite color combinations.

I'm working on a Christmas table topper tonight... one of 2 leftover Christmas projects on my January UFO list. Here's how it looked this afternoon while I was picking more charms for even color distribution, tonight it is halfway assembled. Small project - 4 x 12 Stretched Star block layout. There are 2 of each block laid out in the picture. All of the fabrics have touches of gold metallic on them.

Here is the next UFO I'm tackling. It's been waiting simply because I want to do cross-hatching in the background area around the circles, so I ordered an extension table for my long arm. Well, it arrived yesterday - and it DOESN'T FIT! Argh! Back it goes I guess (I hope - I did some damage trying to force it to fit so we'll see what they say). But now, I am tired of waiting, and this UFO was so excited about getting loaded up, that I've decided to bite the bullet and do the ruler work without the extension table. Wish me luck!

I did an Arrowhead Block usin' CJ Momma's technique. Then I worked way inta the night on a block that I kinda drew up. When I got ready ta sew it up the 2 sides were different sizes!! I had changed sewin' machines & had different "1/4' " seam allowances. I was ready ta toss it out the window. I got up taday & took up those pesky seam allowances. Horray! It went right tagether. The block is soakin' ta git the paper solvy off o' it. I'll post picts o' both o' "em when I git this one cleaned up & pressed.
