I got basting spray all over my hand. It doesn't want to wash out.
HELP! Does anyone have any ideas of what will clean my hands?

Silicone spray will get it off, or goo gone, or WD40.

MAke sure to wash you hands thoroughly after with soap and water though.

You can try to wash your hands with some baking soda paste or some sugar if you don't want to use the chemicals. You may have to do this a few times.

The chemicals will definitely work faster if you are willing to use them.

I use the baking soda scrub. I also put lotion on my hands after that. It doesn't take off the spray, but it does make it less sticky or not sticky anymore.

for the ppl that use the spray freq, how do u control the over spray?
I feel like it goes everywhere and it difficult to get off. I tend to use the spray for smaller pieces and hold each piece with a pair of hemastats.I'm still trying to find something to get the spray off those stainless hemastats! I've tried the wd40 even acidtone!! still can't get it off..... thus I limit my use of this product.

I line are area around mine with newspapers. It seems to work well for me. I have to lock up the cats too. They seem drawn to it.

I used the 505 spray basting on a quilt earlier tonight. I laid it out on my bed and didn't have any problems with the spray getting on anything. I can't say enough good things about 505 spray.

What brand of basting spray do you use? I use Sullivan's and it comes off with soap and water. If overspray get on my tables I use 409 and it comes right off.

I really like Sullivans but usually use June Taylor because the price is right. You can get it for about $6 at Hobby Lobby with a coupon

My quilting buddy got basting spray all over the place in my studio, and we just wiped it all down with a cloth dipped in amonia. Took it right off. She missed the front part of my sewing table, and that was fun (not) when I started working on a sofa runner. Sticky stuff
