Default 3 hour batik quilt top

I had insomnia last night, and instead of working on the numerous UFOs I have hanging around (or cleaning house), made a throw quilt top -- 3 hours from beginning to end. Now to decide whether to add another border in batik or just sandwich, quilt and bind as is. It is currently 44 x 66" - a decent size but looks a bit unfinished to me without a coloured border. Advice, anyone? I've decided this is a Christmas present so need to finish it by tomorrow.

I like it the way it is. I would finish as is and do a colored binding. Nice! I love that you did it in 3 hours!

I love the "life" it shows with all those colours.
The few white flowers just seem to put a wee bit of extra interest into it.

If you're wanting something more .... add a 1/4" flange and then a black border about 2-1/2 or 3 times the width of your black outside border.

What are you going to put on the back? .... something nice and bright too?

You've inspired me! now to go to work on some of my stash ..... a colorful binding possibly? What is the backing?

I like it just as is. Where do you all get all your energy? Insomnia? I couldn't make that in three weeks. It is so pretty.

I love how the black makes the colors pop. So pretty.

I think this beauty will look best without a border. It's gorgeous.

It is beautiful. The fabrics really show with the black background. I would just use a colored binding. Maybe a scrappy one using all the fabrics.
