My honey and I are leaving next week on a road trip from NJ to the gulf coast of MS. He wants to stop at some Civil War sites along the way, so I have negotiating power to stop at some quilting places :-).

We'll be going via Pennsylvania (so a stop in the Lancaster area sounds good) -- suggestions of where to go?

And then south from Gettysburg towards Knoxville (a family stop)...

And then on to Moss Point MS.

I'm sure you will have some good ideas for me!

Thanks in advance!

Go on Google.com and type in "Lancaster quilt shops" and it will list the quilt shops in the area. You can do this for all the major areas you will be going through.

We're going to Texas for our vacation and I googled all the places we will be in and I was shocked at how many quilt shops there are out there!!

Was just in Lancaster and the shops are awesome. There are a few stores just a little ways out of Lancaster in Paradise. The prices in some of these shops are $1-3 less than the same fabric elsewhere. Enjoy!

I LOVE Hayloft Fabrics in Morgantown, PA. It's off the turnpike. Repo's, Civil War, newest lines and thousands and thousands (8K?) of anything else you can imagine, all organized. Charms, scraps, and ready made items for sale too.
