6 Halves make a Whole

Has anyone done the pattern 6 halves makes a whole using the house ruler?
I am thinking of taking the class, but all I can find is a picture of one of the quilts. I would like to see it in different fabrics.
I was thinking of using 30's fabrics, so I guess it would turn out like a sampler than. Don't know if you use different fabrics for the blocks or just one color fabric.
