I certainly agree with all of you and want to thank you all. My 85 year old mom says she doesn't know how I quilt all alone. I do not have friends outside of QB that quilt and I do not belong to a guild. In her time thay all got together to quilt each others quilts. I remember playing underneath the quilt they would be working on. She had 4 or 5 quilting friends. What do we have here, 100's if not more? I don't feel like I am alone. I don't post much but I certainly enjoy my time with you each morning and sometimes night.

Well, I can't read this and fail to add my thanks and agree with all the comments made here already! I was also a new quilter when I found this board and there is just no putting into words the world of difference it has made having all the encouragement and support that we find here.
But for me the main thing is acceptance and courage to be myself in my quilting and to keep letting my fabrics talk to me and not be afraid to listen. LOL... I make some fairly "unique" quilts and you are all so supportive and that means so much!!
I also love having the opportunity here to reach out to others and share ideas, fabrics and my support when it's needed.

Like Rhonda Lee, all of you are my quilting friends. Right after I started quilting, at age 75, I discovered this board. I have learned so very much here! Were it not for you, I probably would have given up on quilting. Now I quilt, at least for a few minutes every day. I have lots of work in progress and am having so much fun quilting. When I have a quilting question, I look here. So far, I haven't had to ask, the answers are already here. I always check the Board on my iPad when I get in bed. The Board is my favorite bedtime reading! Thanks to all of you for being the very best friends ever!

Just the wonderful people one meets on here, whether in person or via mail and all the wonderful ideas, tutorials, tips and mistakes that we all have had during quilting are shared. ITs such a wonderful board, thank you for reminding us and thank you to those who have started the board.
