I too am thankful this board is here! I learned about so much; latest being Wonder Clips. With arthritis getting worse, pinning was becoming a huge problem. Not any more! Those clips are heaven sent. Keep on passing on tips and ideas everyone! I need you input more than you can imagine. Thank you all!

ditto for me. i have learned so much from this board. WHAT, WE DON'T HAVE TO IRON OUR BINDING BEFORE WE PUT IT ON? NEVER HEARD THAT ONE. what do you do, just fold it in half?
and have never caught about the elmers glue to layer with. elmer's stick glue i use to make points, and melons, etc. like it better than ironing the edges to freezer paper.

I'm with sewNso. Can someone elaborate on how to put on binding without ironing first?
Thanks!

So when I put on my binding without sewing I do it as follows: I cut the required pieces and sew them together. I leave 12 inches unsewn in the beginning (it is needed for the ending method I was taught) then I just fold it in half and then I start to sew it on with a 1/4 inch seam, I sew about 8 inches and then reposition the edges together and keep going. Easy peasy!
