Thanks, it has been a challenge to have 5 or six kids in my house and try to keep them busy and needles threaded on my machines, and having the other ones tie blankets or quilts. I am relieved it is done and I have the summer off. Never was wired to be a teacher....LOL

I wish I could help, but right now I don't have a working sewing machine.

All of you are wonderful people helping with the quilts. I wish I had a stash of quilts to send. Thank you for your efforts to help.

Thank you for thinking of us in Alabama. They will be appreciated. It's been wonderful to see how people have come together to help those in need. They have a lot of supplies, especially clothing, but I haven't heard of any giving such special items as a quilt.

I will PM you as soon as we have a few quilts ready. Ours will probably be tied since that would be the fastest way to get them done and out of here. Thank you for posting this. :-D

I am in the process of making several quilts for Alabama and am sending them to Christy Jordan of www.southernplate.com. Sinse she is the only person I know there, I asked her about it and she sent her mailing address. She is very close to the area and they have 4 families, personal friends, who have lost everything. I'm hoping to get 8-10 quilts in the mail to her this week - varying sizes. I love southern plate - she posts recipes, ideas, tips every day!!
