I wanted to order the cutter and value die, and 2 other dies, but the LQS gave me prices and each thing I wanted had to have a separate mat. Is this the norm?
I thought I really wnated one but now I am not so sure of investing in this pricey thing.
Please advise.

I know its seems high price. But I love how quick you can cut a quilt out in no time and they are perfectly cut. We have a group of women who meet twice a week and we bought one and shared it we all buy different dies So now we have about 40 dies. You might think about sharing to cut down on cost.

Check Accuquilt.com site. That is where I bought mine. It was under the "try it" area when I bought it couple months ago. Those are dies that if it sells they will release to retailers. They change the "try it" section often so not sure if it's still there. The 4 1/2" is 4 cuts to a plate/die.

There is a Yahoo group for the purchase of dies for the
Accuquilt and Sizzix machines. There is a 30% savings to purchase any of the dies. I am a member and have been very happy with my purchases and with the moderator/seller who runs it. (No affiliation other than member and happy customer)

Sorry, I thought I had put that in. It is pinsandneedles1. Must have deleted it when I attempted to post the Yahoo group website address. Apparently we can't do that here as it was referred to administration when I first attempted to post and I changed it.
