Okay -- so I'm not all that mechanically minded....BUT, I can usually deal with a sewing machine. Yesterday I was quilting with my Pfaff....I put green thread in and it kept breaking!!!! It was the same brand bought at the same time as the blue thread!!!!! (doing a designer type of quilt) I got another brand of thread and it STILL broke. I went whining :cry:today to DH and said that I needed to take it in....SOMETHING was wrong!!! I re-threaded 3 times, changed the needle, cleaned the bobbin case out. He came over and I thought "oh sure...YOU can fix it"....wellllllllll  seems some bobbin thread got caught up on the drum parts (whatever the heck he's talking about) and he cleaned it out...and now it works beautifully!!!!  The hard part is looking at that smirk on his face........ :hunf:

Well, he did save you $$$$ by fixing it himself. So I guess looking at the smirk on his face is a small price to pay, lol!! I'm glad it's fixed!!

Just think of it this way... the money that it would have cost for the repair can now be spent for fabric

Glad it was fixable without you having to do without it

I've had that happen to my machine before, I clean and oil, look all in the bobbin area, then I finally am able to see a piece of thread that got tangled. I remove it and all is fine. Hubby can fix lots of things, use to repair power tools, Skil. Doesn't mess with sewing machines.
    Glad it got fixed.

I guess a few smirks is worth not having to give up your baby for a while to the repairman  but it can still be a lttle grating on the nerves LOL

The way we trouble shoot... ok, fine I'll try this, and then that, and then this, and then that. Ah hell - let him smirk - and then kiss that smirk off his face. He deserves it! You gotta keeper.
