Today was another hands on class to learn the correct way to make my own binding & learn the very unique short cuts.
Next I machine stitched one side of the binding around the quilt leaving an opening large enough to join the two ends together, then I finished sewing the remaining binding to the quilt.
I then pinned a small section of the binding,& was shown how to hand sew,"a blind hem stitch" to attach the other side of the binding to the quilt.

I will now need to complete hand sewing the binding onto my quilt @ home but I am sure I will have it completed in the next day or two.

I have already begun thinking about my next quilting project,I am considering a table runner or a table topper, how exciting !!!
I would enjoy hearing your suggestions on a pattern you may of enjoyed using for making either of those projects.

    Thanks to all once again
    Linda

just a hint to avoid picking yourself with pins - get some hair clips at Walmart (cheaper than Joanns unless you have a coupon) use those to hold your work in place.

Yep, I use the clips too.

Use table runner in the search function. There should be tons of answers.

Did you do the machine quilting yourself...amazing, I finally learned how to bind a quilt and do hand sew the back which to me is quite relaxing watching tv. You did a great job and I am so proud of you, it took me a long time and tries to get the binding right, now it is fun to me.
