Susan Carlson Class
Has anyone taken one of Susan Carlson's Collage classes? I took one last fall (end of October) -- It was fabulous but I have a long way to go on mine Would love any insight from anyone who has done a couple of Susan Carlson's method. Thanks!

Barbara Stanbro who blogs as Cat Patches has done several animal portraits and she uses a technique by June Jaeger. Here is a link to the lastest one she did with some information on how she did it. https://catpatches.blogspot.com/2019...ly-sewing.html.

Irishgal, that was a really good link, thanks.
Quiltmama, what fusing medium are you using? Susan Carlson uses glue, where the link that was supplied uses fusible web.
Although I have never taken a class with her, I have her books and have read all her articles on the 'net. Here is one I did using her technique using glue. My daughter's dog, Atlas.

Editted that you asked for any insights about the method....I enjoyed doing this collage using this method and I think it was a good method for this subject, but for myself, I do prefer to use Steam a Seam Lite 2 for my collage work, even though it takes a lot longer. I don't like working with the pins and having to go back and re-glue edges and SaSL2 will stick on but is still moveable until you fuse it down.
