I was wondering, how much you should charge for a Bow Tucks type bag? I know you need to consider what you put into it but a lot of them that I have made is from material I either have had for a long time or some that was at a really low sale price.

Does $30 per bag sound like too much or too little? I have made some for friends and now their friends want one.

People charge $50.00 for them here. They are made with good quality fabric and have been quilted inside and out.

Think you'll have to decide from your own knowledge of fabric used, your time etc. Will you charge more if you buy more fabric? Maybe you could have one price for what you have & higher for new fabric.

I would say it depends on what the local economy can handle. Well made with quality fabrics and stitching I say $50 is reasonable, here in S. Texas, I sell for $30, I don't make much profit but I don't think they would sell otherwise, maybe $35

It really depends on where you live and what the market will bear....however, $30 does sound like too little. There is a lady here locally who makes the reversible sun hats and charges $70 for them....they take less fabric and are less complex.

What people on this Board charge may not be relevant for you.
    Location is a better determinant.
Prices are usually determined by what the traffic will bear.
If your friends' friends wouldn't pay more than $30 then you have to decide if that's enuf for your time and effort.
If they'd pay $50 - go for it
    Good luck.

I think that $30 is reasonable for the fabric you've had for a long time or was on sale. If it was new fabric then $50 or more is reasonable. This is just me!

I think at the very least you should charge $38.00. By the time you add everything up and a little for your time, that is a reasonable amount. More if the market bears it.

OK, this helps. I was trying to get a general range and was thinking low end 30 and high end 50. The hard part is the requests are from out of state.
