Default Advice please, on quilting my wall hanging

I'm nearly done with this wall hanging I started making because our wall was so sad when the Christmas one came down. My quilting is very much beginner level. I ripped out all the hand quilting the first time (um, apparently starting from the centre and working out helps things not get too puffy), and I'm pretty proud of it now.

Because I'm new, I can't really tell if more quilting will make it too busy. I think I'm going to do more hand quilting in the corner blocks (maybe a heart or star in each block), but I don't want it to look unbalanced.

And I got the quilting design in the flying geese from a skillbuilder panel I've been practicing on. At first, I was worried about making it look too busy with the white thread on the dark "sky" parts, so I left it out, but now I'm worried about it looking unfinished!

Any and all advice is welcome! I don't have anyone nearby who's a quilter to ask about this stuff.

Very pretty! Either a heart or star in the corners will work.

Put a star in 2 corners and a heart in the other 2 corners.

You should be very proud. It is coming along beautifully. Your quilting looks awesome. And, the colors are so pretty. You'll have to make sure and come back and share when it's all finished.

Your hand quilting is so beautiful and so even! I really like the idea of putting hearts or stars or both in the corners. I'd probably stitch-in-the-ditch just inside the outer border. And maybe a hand quilted tear drop shape in the corners of the yellow border. I love your cross-hatching, too. You've done a great job!

This was my though as well. I definitely think you need something in your corners to balance out the rest of your quilting. If not 2 of each, then the same motif in each corner but I wouldn't make it anything too fussy. Simple is good in this instance.

I really, really like your wall hanging & especially enjoy the fact that you incorporated hand quilting with machine quilting. I like the idea of the stars in two corners & the hearts in two corners. Your hand quilting is awesome.

Are those scallops hand quilted? Because they look so perfect! Ok, that doesn't sound right, I think I better stop while I'm ahead, lol. Really, job very well done. You will have a happy, happy wall very soon!
