I worked on this for three months, procrastinating after every step and finishing a smaller quilt and a few books along the way. This was a commissioned quilt with the client choosing the Attic Window pattern with a request to make it "look like nature" with a foresty feel and flowers and birds and botanical prints. The birds and flowers came mostly from a lovely Michael Miller print from his French Journal collection. It's 60" x 60" to be used as a bed topper.

Donna, I love your quilt and the colours you chose. Is there a pattern that is still available?

The amount of talent on this board is mind-boggling. Great work, everyone. What a wonderful way to spend time on a lazy morning appreciating what others do! My "to do" list has grown incredibly.

Totally awesome. Your piecing is “stellar”.

I love this thread! So fun to see everyone's favorite quilts. This is my favorite. (It was a very difficult choice). I picked this one because the colors, fabric and layout seemed the closest to the vision of the quilt in my head. And the one small piecing error which was very upsetting when I noticed it has now become endearing to me.
