I find the same thing - really I think it is just that a few posts get the large number of responses, for whatever reason, and the majority get under 20 responses. Who knows what it is about any one particular post that catches the imagination of the board. (shrug)

Just keep posting pictures, I love seeing everyone's work even if I don't have much to say about it sometimes. I probably respond to about 20% or less of the pics I look at.

Also make sure you come back to your thread and respond to others' questions/comments.

The same here, and that's not to say I don't enjoy every picture posted. I was also wondering -- does Admin post every topic/pic on the daily mail? I posted a question but it didn't appear on the daily mail. When I went to "My Topics" there were only six replies to my question, which I would guess would have gotten more responses if it had been listed on daily mail. (sigh)

This is an extremely busy message board and it's really hard to keep up with everyone's postings. As for feeling no one is interested in my posts/work/etc., I've been there too but I'm also quilty of not responding to all the posts when I can't spend too much time on the computer.

If in your post you were seeking advice or opinons you could always bring your post forward by clicking on My Posts (under The Quilters Message Board heading) and asking everyone for help again. It's worth a try.

PS: I usually click on Unread Topics (also under The Quilters Message Board heading) and check them out, that way posts that didn't receive lots of replys will get a little attention too.

This is a big site and lots too look at. I always look at the views on the post then the comments. Chances are you have lots of views. I agree don't let it bother you, you are wanted and welcome...:)

I think the other posters are most likely right, some days on the board are busier than others. People often look but may not have time to comment, even on projects they like. I guess we need to learn not to take it personally -lol!!
OK, I have a question, how does one "go back" and look at postings?

Mary, Do not feel slighted. There are days when I get on and never post; although I read every post. It is not that you have broken any rules or are not appreciated. I hope you won't feel insulted. If someone has any criticism, I am sure they would say so. I find most opinions are posted. Hang in there.

But when I post a picture of my latest completed project, I have found that I get a very minimal response from the rest of the board. Most pictures get over 100 responses, many get much more than that, while mine have been averaging under 20. This has happened so many times that I am forced to wonder if there is some unwritten rule I am breaking that I don't know about. I wouldn't ask, except that it happens every time. It's starting to bug me a bit, even hurt my feelings a little.

I love this board, but I'm not really feeling the love in return. Please be honest, is it me?

OMG, I plead guilty, sometimes I just look at a quilt pic and think, "Isn't that pretty" but fail to comment, will try do better in the future. Keep posting pics!

I know I don't respond to every persons post with pics. even though they can be wonderful quilts. If I responded to every post I would never get any sewing done. Don't worry about how many responses you get just knowt that we all love everyones work and we are happy to see that work.

I kinda had the same thoughts awhile back when I posted, but realized quickly that there are sooooooooooooo many new post and topics that go up every day, that it's very easy to get lost in the shuffle. I try to give "kuddos" on a lot of post, but it's hard because I don't want to spend hours on the computer, would rather get to my sewing room!!!

But I have noticed that there are some on this site that ONLY post their pictures and NEVER post "kuddos" to anyone else.

  That hits a raw nerve in me

Hugs Mary! Your wedding quilt was beautiful and I know you worked very hard to get it completed. I also know your gift will be treasured. It is true that sometimes it is hard to get to all the postings to make comments or you try and pick a word or so to describe how you see it! But everyone here is loving and supportive, so don't feel slighted, cuz you are loved and valued!
