Yeah, my guess is it's because there are so many posts and they quickly get kinda lost in everything else and there's so much to look at. Keep posting please!! I love to look at Pictures. Type in a catchy opener such as - LOOK AT MY QUILT!! :-)

Mary, look at this from a different perspective, and I think you will feel better about it.

I checked all your postings that included pictures of your work (10 separate pictures of work), and these got from 20-70 comments each for a total of 308 comments, with an average of 31 comments per picture. I think this is good!

I also noted that you have left 180 comments on others postings (some in the main category posting, some in the pictures posting). Hey--you're getting more comments to your postings than you are leaving for others. So, put a smile on your face. You are in the loop and doing great work.

I also noted that most of the pictures you have posted are quilts or quilted projects for gifts to others. I admire you for that.

Maybe it depends on how many of us need to post in order to keep our "a regular here" status> :)

Don't despair!!! As said by others... it may be the time of day... or the category... or the title. I know that I try to reply to each posting I read... specifically so posters know their being read, looked at and appreciated.

Hi Mary,
I respond depending on my mood. If I am very busy then I usually just look and don't respond. If I'm in a relaxed mood, then I respond on almost every picture I see. I also don't look at every picture posted. Sometimes I will only glance at 3 or 4 pics and then I don't come back on for several days and usually just look at the first page. I know that I miss a lot of pictures, but that is really all of the time I have to look on that day.

I learn a lot from every picture I see and I hope that you will continue to post your pics. Don't worry about the response, it just might be the time of day or that things are busy.

I think we all are in the same boat. Sometimes I devour everything and other times I pick and choose depending on how busy I am. It's not you or your work, its just busy busy busy. Keep posting.

I don't always comment on a post but do so enjoy looking at everything everyone is making. Some of mine have received lots of comments and others just a few, also. So I just don't let it bother me and figure there are probably lots of people looking that just might not have the time that particular day to comment.
Please keeping posting your work.

Maybe you're placing too much importance on the validation of others? I appreciate EVERY picture I see and the work that goes into the project but just don't have the time to respond and rarely do. Be secure in the knowledge that YOU like the quilts that you've made....you don't need anyone else to tell you that they look good.

Boy, this has gone on a long time.

One thing to consider. Do you comment on every post you look at???? You can't blame folks for not commenting on your postings if you don't comment in return.

Mary, I can relate to your thoughts. I have often thought that my posts are not as important as many others are. Many times when I post, the most response I get is about 3 pages. I see some tell a joke and get 15 to 16 pages. I don't know what makes this happen, it just does. I just keep on trying. And you need to also. I have posted over 700 posts in 7 months. I don't get a chance to look at every post. And WOW, look at the number of pages you have posted in response. You go Girl
