These are wonderful, beautiful, fabulous!!!! I could go on and on. You have a real treasure. Do what you are moved to do. Maybe random placement with white or black between or more color fabric. Please share with us when you put them together. Best wishes for this project!

Wow, what a treasure.. WOW, WOW... I agree use fabreeze and set them together and then have it dry cleaned by a GOOD dry cleaner as so many of them do not use anything to catch the color bleeding.. never let that one go. you can never replace it again..WOW... I have seen embroidery designs like that but never the actuall thing. that is just jaw dropping.. can't wait to see it finished.. please share.. thanks for sharing

I worked for nine years on a cruise line working with children as a volunteer after I retired as a teacher. During that time I went many times, fourteen I think, through the Panama Canal and visited the San Blas Island frequently and bought molas. They were completely washable, 100 percent cotton, for the women originally used them for their clothing and washed them on wash boards. I have a lot and have tossed them in the washing machine with the towels and such. I found them rather heavy to include with the usual quilt blocks but sparked up certain things like jackets things and had them framed professionally for my family. They are beautiful on the wall but need to be carefully framed. I still have many left and bought them about twenty years ago. Have fun with them, they are not easy to use up so my family may have a bunch left as I am an 87 year old quilter still going strong.
