You'd think one closing so close to another would help one stay in business but illness makes it hard if you don't make enough to pay the help.

I feel your pain....the nearest quilt shop to me is about 85 miles away. I load up when I get to go or when I go to quilt shows. But it would be nice to have one closer...like right now, I have run out of black civil war repro fabrics for quilt I'm working on and have to wait until I can make the trip for some more. Theres always online shopping when theres nothing else.

You must be talking about Quilters Stash in Rocklin? Have you tried Bearpaws and Hollyhocks in Sacramento or Quilters Corner in Sacramento. I live in Roseville and highly recommend both. Bearpaws is small but really has alot of fabric and great staff and Quilter Corner is fabulous too!
