Another Question on Quilts for Kids

remember ... the kit is free.
i can remember when the standard for anything ordered by mail was "allow 4 - 6 weeks for delivery."
the kit is free. the kit is free. the kit is free.
be patient. ;-)

Since the Quilts for Kids organization ask that if possible you make a second one and send to them........why don't you use one of the patterns suggested and start on that quilt. You will be ahead of the game. All the patterns look very simple and easy to make.

I will wait for a few weeks then before I get too concerned. I did find some material in my stash and am going to try a NICU quilt this weekend hopefully. Do you think flannel would be ok for the back? Would be soft and add a different texture for tactile stimulation.
Thanks for the input.

read the website about flannel. I read something about it that they don't like it all that much... It could have been something else though. Seems like they said flannel looks used the first time it is washed :( They have a ton of FAQ's maybe it was on there

I made 2 Quilts for Kids from their kits and then 8 more from my stash. The pattern is not hard and it is very rewarding. I am retired and I have a lot of free time. This was how I got back into quilting .I think they are happy to get whatever you do, whenever you do it. They send out thousands but every one benefits a child.

I am so excited! Just got notification that my kit has shipped and should be here tomorow! Yippee! Just in time for the weekend. I work Saturday but after church (play the organ) the day is mine. Hope I can at least get it pieced. Thanks for all the info and encouraging words.
