Hello,

In a dilemma... I have a Brother SE350 sewing/embroidery machine that I want to use for quilting. The manual says it can use the SA187 Open-toe Quilting Foot (O) but the website doesn't have it listed as an accessory option. Question: Do you think it will work?

OR Should I upgrade to the Brother Project Runway PC420PRW? On the website it's listed under Quilting/Sewing/Sergers machines. What do you think?

Thanks!

I called Brother just yesterday for a part that wasn't listed. You might give em a call and get it that way. Just let me know if you need the #.

Ya know, I didn't even think to call Brother. So, after being on hold for 20 mins. the customer service rep said that foot will work. They want over $30 for it (with shipping), so I'll get it someplace else. Thanks!

Check EBay. If your machine has a shank that you can detach the foot, it's really great. You can pick up all kinds of different feet for about a third of the cost (including shipping)

Certainly look for the foot elsewhere. Ebay has lots and some sellers will even list which brands and types that the feet will work with, of course you can always research on ebay and order from someone else. Don't upgrade - your current machine will do just fine quilting.

The price sounds right to me - I have Brother Innovis 4000D and would not try any other machine parts, except for needles and bobbins for Janome machines 300 and 350E which are compatible with Brother.

I've ordered parts for my Viking and Babylock serger at www.sewingpartsonline.com and the shipping very reasonable. And they are very prompt. I had the parts a in few days.
