Several of us who have EQ have been swapping notes recently and found applications that we weren't aware of, so can now make this programme work better for what we want. Others who have embroidery machines or modules for their regular machines have also been swapping info.

So what we would like to know is: Would you like a whole section for these topics? Somewhere where you could look for help and advice, that would enhance your enjoyment of your patchwork and quilting life?

Somewhere that would make it easier for you, where you wouldn't have to look off board for that help? Where you could go straighaway without having to search?

What we need is votes please, or your comments. How many members have EQ, 5 or 6?

Just ordered EQ6......and do a lot of machine embroidery (see my post from yesterday of the baby quilt). Would LOVE to see separate topic for machine embroidery and EQ 6!

OK Shorebird, we would too. I have EQ6, and so do several others, I am just not sure how many. In the meantime, if you have any problems when you get this scrummy programme, let me know, and if I can't help. perhaps one of the others can. We just kept thinking that new threads were coming and going, and getting lost amongst other threads.

I would love to hear more about EQ applications, but I see EQ as just a part of quilting, not a separate category. Embroidery doesn't interest me at present so I just skip those threads.

I don't have an EQ6 yet but will be getting in the near future as for the embroidery machine part I'm also for that section too. I hate trying to hunt for stuff sometimes.

I have EQ 5 right now and quite frankly I haven't used it. I would like to in the future and even possibly upgrade to EQ 6 if I find I will use it.

I also do a lot of embroidery.

I would be interested in a separate section.

I always vote for good organization, and since I've seen alot of posts regarding E6 (or earlier) it seems like it would be good form to add a section for that. It would make the references a lot easier to find. Sometimes I'll read a hint, and remember that I read a hint, but can't remember exactly what the hint was (old age creeping in). A separate section would make it easier for me to find that reference. Same thoughts for embroidery machines (which I hope to have someday).

My two cents worth,
Renee

Instead of just an "EQ" section, maybe name it "Electronic Quilting" which would cover the EQ (literally!) by using its full name and yet also be inclusive for those who use other computer design programs.

I have used EQ5 quite a bit and would love a central section to go for questions and ideas. For those who haven't signed up for it, the EQ newsletter is a wonderful resource for information and questions.

i have and use EQ and i do machine embroidery and i'm all for an easy way to find tips and tutes related to these topics.

its too cumbersome to do an EQ search for info because you have to sift thru tons of posts asking if the program is worth buying.
