My dream is to have the space to host retreats.
At this time my sewing room will hold 4 - 5 machines 6 in a pinch and with a tight fit.
all are welcome, sleeping bags anyone?

When I first got on line back in 96. I spent some time chatting. in Yahoo it had differnt rooms like and Austin room. I started having chat parties and meeting the differnt chatters. We had people come down from Canada and from all over texas to meet. We had a great time.
I found not everyone was truthful and those were the ones that didn't show up. Just a head up. I dought any quilters are like that. I wish you luck getting a retreat and getting everyone there.

if anyone wants to plan a retreat for the KCMO area let me know. I might have a place for us to stay and to meet. there is a large kitchen, sleeping rooms and a huge area that will hold well over 300 people as well as some smaller classrooms. We just have to rent the space. It wouldn't be too expensive I don't think would have to ask about the pricing. Plus it is right by the freeway with a couple of hotels near by.

I will talk to my dad about how much it is to rent the facilities. I don't think that it will be more than 1000 to rent the facilities, not sure on how much it would be with using the dorm rooms. they fit between 5-15 people in each room. I think that we can comfortable sleep maybe 75. I will have to get the exact numbers. Craftybear, if you are wanting to plan it please pm me and I will get you the numbers exactly. Or anyone else who would like to plan it please pm me.
The grounds are great and we might even be able to use the upper level for tent camping. I will have to ask however.

it is only about 11 hours give or take. for driving. I know this because we used to drive from Acron Ohio to Quincy Il and it was about 12 or so hours. depending on how many stops we made. so Indianapolis to NY would be about the same time frame. It was about 6 hours to acron from upstate NY area.
