Default Anybody besides me save these things?

I have a box full of those green plastic thread spools. I don't know what I am saving them for. But, I remember when I was a kid, we made necklaces and Christmas trees and all sorts of things from the old wooden spools. Does anybody have an idea as to what I can do with these things? Be creative and stretch your imagination.

I'm wondering if there was a company that would recycle the spools back to the companies. I've been throwing them out, or putting them in my recycling. Maybe the chain stores might consider putting a recycling bin in the stores for people to dump them, and recyce by sending them back to the compainies. They might not cost a lot to make, but it's such a waste.

Maybe donate to day care centers, make cat toys, combine with old CD's and hang from trees to discourage birds in fruit trees.
