Default Help! Adhesive on my iron!

I just got freezer paper adhesive on my hobbico applique iron.... Any suggestions on easy removal of the adhesive? I don't want to ruin the non-stick surface... Thanks!

Iron Off works great. You can get it at JoAnn's, WalMart, etc. You can also try just reheating the iron, laying an old towel across the ironing board so it hangs over the edge, then run the iron down over the edge of the ironing board like you scrape off your shoes on a step. Repeat on a clean place on the towel until the iron is clean.

See sharon schambers you tube on this subject. A soaking wet magic eraser and a hot iron. Works perfectly.

We've all been there! Who hasn't gotten fusible, freezer paper, plastic bag or carpet fibers (Yep, dropped the hot iron on the floor! Gave the carpet a lovely design!) on their iron once or twice?

When I was a teenager, my mother, running late for work one morning, was furiously ironing her uniform. Back then there were no coatings on the iron plate, so you would run the iron over wax paper to make it slick. Mother grabbed up a bread bag as she had done so many times before to use the waxed coating, and it was one of those new fangled plastic bags. Well, that sucker melted all over the iron, making the biggest mess you can imagine. Her yelling woke me up. I had the pleasure of cleaning it off.

If it's a non stick iron why is there something stuck to it?
