I want to make a hexigon quilt but I don't want to have to hand piece it. I just looked at the jellyroll pattern, but don't really like it because of the way some of the pieces go back together. Is there any other way of doing it on my machine :?: I figured if someone here didn't know, it couldn't be done ;-)

There was a pattern in a magazine a few months ago... I will look later and see if I can find it. Also i think I saw once where you caould make it with a 60 degree ruler

Look at the book "One Block Wonders" These are mainly hexagons made with a 60 degree angle.

I think perhaps Kay Woods (Branch, MI) has done a show on using one of her rulers and it was hexagonal. She is a master at figuring out how to engineer cutting out and sewing pieces together. I know she has a website you could check out... google her name.

Yes, the One Block Wonder book is what you need. Easy piecing of hexagons in strips. Use a 60 deg. triangle.

Yes, I guess you could use that construction method with different colour fabrics WITHOUT doing the stack n whack thing. Hmmmm thinking... :-D
