What a whirlwind of an afternoon here in La Grande, Oregon! Ricky Tims, ya'll know who he is, don't ya?? Well, he, and Justin, his cohort in travel times, were passing thru my part of Oregon today on their way home to La Veta, Colorado , from Puyallup, Wash, where there was some kind of quilting expo thing happening..

Ricky, I truly think, must be a real hoot in a black hat if anything like today is in order. His Drive By's are so FUN, so adrenaline producing, and so affirming to those of us who quilt.

Today, if you go into his website, under the EVENTS tab, and Drive By Quiltings, you will see me waving my hand, and my quilt over an overpass as Ricky, and Justin honked, blinking lights, and taking this photo of my quilt and I .. It was such a fun day, though my beating heart has still not stopped, or slowed!! preferably slowed, of course!

Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I would have been terrified that I would have dropped my quilt. :-)

Thanks for sharing the link. I had never heard of this Drive by quilting. I live about 20 miles from Beaumont; so was thrilled to see a fellow quilter have her photo taken.

OMG, what a hoot! I was at the Puyallup show and went to one of Ricky Timm's classes on his Convergence and Rhapsody quilts. He was so interesting, informative and funny. It was great!
