You might try sewing odd scraps together for a crazy quilt. Just sew a lot of them in no particular shape but enough to make large blocks. You can trim them and iron later.

Doing something like needle punch or needle felting could be done with your left hand...

My left hand (dominant) is in a splint for carpel tunnel and right hand will have trigger finger surgery the end of this month. It stinks to have both hands achy at the same time. I look forward to some down time to review that ever growing bucket list for the next great project and weeding out those that no longer grab my attention. Take care and get well soon!

If you have quilt books or magazines or even internet sites, you might find your next quilt idea while recovering.

I am sorry for your accident, it has been a while since I have been on skates, really envy you. I had my right arm in a cast for about six weeks, a few years ago, it was the pits!! I found that there were several things that I could do with my left arm though..keep trying. How fortunate you are to have a kindle, I love mine. I am afraid that I would spend way too much time reading and not feeling at all guilty. Hope you are on the mend.

You probably need to immobile your wrist to give it a rest, if you can go to a physio's office, and pick up a arm brace
that the strap wraps around your thumb and the brace travels up the arm to the joint in your elbow, which supports your wrist right up to your elbow, (the closure is velcro), this is what happened to me per my Doctors advice. It really made a difference, I found I could do a lot more things when wearing the brace, now I have a brace for each arm.

So sorry this happened to you, and hopefully it will be feeling better real soon. Try spend many of your hours checking out various quilting videos on the web, you know how quickly time flys doing that, and - you can use your left hand with the mouse. Best Wishes!!!

Relax and mend. Watch quilting shows on TV or DVDs. Read, I hear the end of February Elm Creek Quilts will have a new novel. Enjoy and take it easy. You will mend faster than you think. Again enjoy.
