I am going to make a quilt for my grandson in Az...I really like a pattern with small flowers...since he is living with a very nice woman..would it be appropriate...or I was thinking of using small and large polka dots in blue on white...what do you suggest

If it was my son he would like the blue and white polka dots.

I did one for a friend's grandson in greens that was various designs with leaves, tiny paisleys that looked like amoebas, vines, a pinstripe, a gingham-look, a small plaid.
It came out very nice and definitely not girly. Now the one I did for his sister was very girly...pale pinks and purples tied with satin ribbon!

I vote for the polka dots. Maybe see if you can also find some white dots on blue as well.

I always think of stripes when I think of man-quilts...I don't know how you feel about mixing polka dots and stripes but I think it could look so awesome! Oh Arizona! Now if only this rain would stop so it would feel like AZ is supposed to feel!
