I am new to quilting but seem to fall in love with lots of ideas. I am almost finished with a quilt for DD but meanwhile my mind is wandering to other projects I want to do in the future. I saw a cool I Spy quilt and now I want to make it. Appears it takes about 260 3 1/2 inch squares preferrably all different with objects of some sort. So I have been going thru my stash looking for what I have and cutting squares. But it looks like I will just put them in a plastic box and continue to collect cool fabrics until I have enough. Fun to think about anyway! So until I have enough squares will finish the one I am working on and perhaps start a "V" square that I want for my bed.

I did a swap with some of the members from this board. Maybe we can do another swap? It was a lot of fun. We each cut so many 5 inch squares from three fabrics. After the swap I had a lot of different ones to choose from.

I would be glad to send you squares as well; but lead me in the direction you need me to go (smile) if you need them all different.

I've swapped 5" & 6 1/2" squares with a couple people here
and would join in the fun with you - let me know the details if anything develops.

I honestly was not asking to get help to collect fabrics but I will think about it.

I, also, want to do an I Spy quilt but do not have enough fabrics to make a really nice one. Can we get a swap of 5" squares going?

Go under SEARCH and put in I Spy and then look at the different pictures of the quilts.

I also would be happy to send you squares. I have made several I Spy quilts so I have lots of fabric.
