I was given about 24 yards of this type of material by an elderly woman. will it be any good for quilting with? The material gingham style, I was thinking of using it for backings.
Thanks,
Janet

Combed cotton means that it is an older cotton, combing is part of the process. It also means that it was bought when we could still buy fabrics and textiles made in this country. It is probably of better quality than what we can buy nowadays.
