Default Aunt Grace Fabric

Please tell me about Aunt Grace fabric. Is this fabric collection available all the time? Are there different (and up-and-coming) Aunt Grace fabrics?

I love it because it reminds me of my grandmother's quilts. I'm considering making the Farmer's Wife Sampler quilt blocks with Aunt Grace, but I want to make sure that the fabric will remain available as it might take me a few years to make all the blocks.

Thanks for any information!

I'm interested in this topic too. I'll be waiting to see what everyone says. It's my opinion that these prints are becoming harder to find than they were a year or two ago.

I know nothing about upcoming lines of Aunt Grace fabric. What I do know is I could never get enough fabrics from the Aunt Grace line to have the variety I wanted in my scrappy double Irish chain. I mixed my Aunt Grace fabric with some Darlene Zimmerman fabrics, some fat quarters from Quilt in a Day and odds ends purchased off the board.

This site has a decent selection of Aunt Grace stuff right now.

From what I have come across, Judie Rothermel for Marcus Bros. http://www.marcusfabrics.com/designe...othermel.shtml

and then there is Darlene Zimmerman for Kaufman. If you read the info, it was under Chanteclaire Fabrics- which is what is on the selvage.

and RJR fabrics has some. Here is a link to All People Quilt with free pattern using the RJR line:

I am glad you asked this ?? because I have some FQs and need to figure out what to do with them. Got some ideas, too.

There's a new Aunt Grace line every few months or so. The collections don't seem to have 40-42 different prints in them like the Moda lines - more like 10-12. But they go great with some of the 30's prints from Connecting Threads, Darlene Zimmerman, RJR, Moda, etc. Same clear colors, same styles of prints.

Wonderful information! Thank y'all so so much! As I've been searching for Aunt Grace on the internet this afternoon, I've also come across Reproduction and 1930's fabrics from different manufacturers. I think I will be mixing and matching all the lines.

Thanks again for the suggestions!

I just placed a couple of orders on Etsy for Feedsack, Aunt Grace and 30's Playtime fat quarter bundles. Cannot wait to get it and start making up some blocks!

I just purchased a clearance kit of Aunt Grace and found the Farmer's Wife book on sale at the same website. It wasn't until the box arrived that I realized that would be a great collection to use for that quilt.

Since last week for some reason I am unable to post pictures here in threads. But if you go to my profile under quilts you can see two that I made while in a block swap and we ONLY used Aunt Grace fabrics. The swap was in 2006. I agree with someone else here who said the connecting threads vintage fabric line seems to go nicely with them. I used one of their fabrics for the border on one of my aunt grace quilts.

Aunt Grace does really sweet 30's reproductions and the collections change but everything seems to go with everything. The I have Aunt Grace fabrics that I bought years ago and they blend right in with the current collections. That's the lovely thing about 30's repro.
