I quilt with Aurifil, it is always what I use in my bobbin.

Can't think of a reason not to use it for quilting. I frequently use it in the bobbin when I am using a more decorative thread on the top. Works perfectly. I like its versatility.

I use Aurifil 40 wt. top and bobbin to quilt. Much lower lint than Mettler.

Guess that is what I will be using then; I use Glide when I can for quilting, but just didn't have the right color but I do have Aurifil so that is what I'm using. Thanks for your help.

Sash, while Aurifil is a lower lint thread than other cottons it will produce lint at higher speeds. Since you are used to using Glide you will for sure notice. I prefer a poly too but like you, I will use the Aurifil for the right color.

I love Aurifil for all projects. Call me spoiled. I'm considered very cheap, but I spare no expense on thread for my addiction.

Its the best. low lint, the double thickness means more accurate seems instead of the 3 strand.
