Default aurora QE 440 question

Does anyone know if the aurora QE 440 has a USB port? I don't know where to look for it. Thanks.

Your manual should have a diagram of the machine showing the USB port.

Default My QE manual

I wish I could find it. We have had 2 floods since buying the QE and apparently it was lost to getting wet.

I do not have that machine but wouldn’t the machine only have a USB port if it needed support for embroidery designs or similar?

The QE 440 aurora does have an embroidery module which you must purchase separately ...... I did not purchase it. I am now wondering if the USB port I keep reading about is attached to the module and not the actual sewing computer. I have not been able to find a diagram showing the port and I cannot find a port on my 440. The port to attach the embroidery module is not a usb port.

If you go to the Bernina website, you can type "QE 440 Aurora" into the search box. Your machine will be shown. It's no longer available but you can still download the manual. About Halfway down the page you will see the word "support." If you click on that you will see a link for the manual. As far as I can see there is no USB port, but it does have a connection for a PC. Hope you find what you need.

Yes, it does have a USB port. Look at the right side of your machine, where the hand wheel is. There are two ports on the left side, near the bottom. The top port is the PC connection (USB) and the one right under it is the connector for the embroidery module.

The Aurora 440 can't take an embroidery design directly from a USB stick. It has to be plugged into a laptop computer.

You can download the manual here
https://www.bernina.com/he-IL/Suppor...rora-440-QE-il

Go to page 59 for embroidery info.

You may be able to use an adapter that will plug into the computer port on the side of your machine. The other end will take a usb. Check at the office supply stores. Take a picture of the side of your machine to show the sales person.

Check with your dealer first to make sure it is ok to use the adapter with your machine.
