Your threader sounds different from my mom's. With hers though you have to make sure not to hold the thread too tight so it can pull the thread through.

I have to thread the machine I'm using now by hand but when the other one was working I used the threader all the time. Just make sure the needle is all the way up.

When i first got mine, I really struggled with it. Took it back in and I had a bent hook. I use it all the time now. Wouldn't' think of buying a machine without it now. Think I could thread it with my eyes closed now!

All of the time - on all of the machines.

Never had one that worked.

I use mine always...it took me a bit though, to learn, that the needle has to be all the way up, before it will work...I use the janome 6600P

I use mine all the time. You have to make sure the thread is between the needle and the plastic piece after you pull the thread over.

I have a brother machine and love it. Use it 100% of the time. It did take me some time to get use to it...sometimes it would work for me and sometimes I had to thread the needle my self.
