This is a picture of my Dad that I did through a class at Quilt University with Marilyn Belford a couple of years ago. I hope you like it and will check it out on the Quilting Gallery this weekend. It was a challenging experience but I'm glad I made it as Dad really likes it.

These portrait quilts amaze me. What a nice tribute to your Dad.

Yes, it is totally an online class. I have taken several classes at Quilt University and have found them all to be very good. I would recommend taking any of the classes, however, I do admit that this was challenging and you are working on your own but they are there to help you in any way and give lots of directions. I did end of buying Marilyn Belford's book of Fabric Portraits too but you do get to download and print off all of the instructions during class. I have entered it in the weekly contest on the Quilting Gallery and would appreciate your votes, if you would want to do it. I was shocked at how big the picture uploaded, wow, I didn't know it was going to be that big. Thanks for all your kind words.
