Default Baby Go cutter do you use it?

Do any of you use the Baby Go? I have limited budget and wondering if the small one is worth it for a variety of things and quilting. I was particularly wondering about it "walking" because you were hand cranking. Also does it cut the lite and medium thick fuse material or does it stick the blades up?

I have the go and the studio cutters. The baby should be the same except smaller. They are wonderful!!!!

I know that a lot of people love them, but I just gave my Go!Baby away because I didn't use it. Since it is so much smaller than the Go, the resulting shapes are smaller (e.g., one die has three sizes of stars on it. I only wanted to use the largest size since the smaller ones were tiny). It seemed awkward for cutting strips since it required too much prep time and had too much waste. The dies for the Baby cost just as much as for the Go.

If you know someone who has one and have an opportunity to borrow it, I'd do that first. You can buy a whole lot of precut shapes from catalogs for the price of a Baby. Just my humble opinion.

The Go Baby is $80 that will buy you almost three Moda Jelly Rolls.

I have a Baby and I really like it. It doesn't walk off the table while using it. (at least it hasn't so far!) I make a lot of strips and I found that if I place the fabric over the blade area and not over the whole die, I don't waste so much fabric. I don't have room for the larger Go machine so the Baby Go works for me. I found that I am not so limited with the dies because they have come out with a lot of them for the Baby. Try Amazon.com and check out their prices. I got mine there and it was really reasonable. Hope all this helps!

If you have the room, the regular big shot will cut the go baby dies and it's a lot better machine IMO. Plus it will also cut big shot dies which the go baby will not. If you have a lot of $$ to spend the big shot pro is even better. But it is HUGE and very heavy.
