I have not made a French braid quilt nor have I done a QAYG. Is it possible to do a Fr braid using QAYG method? I'm thinking one could piece the strips, quilt them and then put quilt together using QAYG. Does that make sense or am I missing something???

Seems reasonable to me. I've never done a French braid quilt either, but I did a qayg that was strips of blocks. :-D

I've done the braid and I've done qayg, but never together. It seems that you should be able to do it to me though. Good luck and keep us posted.

The first two steps - piecing the strips and quilting - can be combined into one step.
Then those long already quilted strips would be combined with others (plain - maybe with applique, or braided) using one of the QAYG methods.

Good idea. There was a tutorial/quilt along a while back. It was called Stitch
and Flip. If you look at this you can see how you can adapt if for your French Braid. I'll see if I can find a link for you.

    Here's one.

You're welcome. Maybe you could try with some scraps first. That's what I did because I was really curious about this method. Sure was fun. :-D

I made a French braid and quilted it in sections on my DSM. I used the book by Marti Michell to learn the techniques.
