I use small scraps for quilt as you go potholders. Use strips or crazy quilt. I sew fabric to batting - then sew fabric to insulbrite. Sandwich them and bind.

I once saw an episode of Simply Quilts where the guest - don't remember who she was - made floral wall hangings by putting fusible web on the back and then "snipping" them into blossoms and then fusing them down and sort of stippling them on top and they were absolutely lovely. I'm not describing it very well. Maybe someone else who saw the episode could describe it better. But she saved every tiny piece of fabric and made these "paintings" with them.

Wow what a haul!!! I'd press them all flat and cut the largest squares possible out of each piece. Or if there are some plains or tone on tones save that for applique pieces.

How about raw edged piecing ? Just sew the pieces to a base fabric block, I use old sheets for this. When it is washed and dried , it will be "fluffy". Kids would love it , pets too. It feels nice.

I like to cut into strips, sew together, cut into 21\2 strips and use for quilt binding on appropriate quilts.
