Default Bali, Tonga and Indian Batiks

I am familiar with the quality of the Bali and Tonga batiks, but have never run into Indian batiks before so I'm not sure about the weave and quality of the fabric. I see some Indian batiks on sale at Fabric.com....has anyone ordered them or maybe bought some somewhere else that could enlighten me.
Thanks!

It has been my experience that Indian batiks are sometime a looser weave.

I also had some that were looser weaves.. and bleed even more than Batiks from Indonesia. They had a bit of a waxy feel , and did not bleed immediately but once they started the color loss was more than anything I ever experienced.

I don't use Indian batiks because of their lower quality and tendency to bleed. You can not rely on them to play well with others.
