Default batiks - two or three colors to use together?

According to your own tastes... if you were to pick two or three colors of batiks to use together in a project of your choosing, which colors would you use?

i made a red white and purple batik quilt - but used probably 15 -18 different fabrics in those families.

I like the warm tones of fall, Orangy red, yellowy with another color, and a great chestnut brown that had some great fall colors with it.
Every year I look for a really great chestnut brown that has other fall colors mixed in( small scale) ... still looking.

I would pick a green and aqua combo. Probably 2 medium values and a light.

Violet, teal, and emerald if I was going for everything in the same family. Brights of each so that I could pair them with black and make them pop! Mad jewel tone love over here.

I'm also a jewel tones girl! Not that I don't buy every batik under the sun!
