Batting Buddy Quilting Method
Has anyone heard of the Batting Buddy quilting method? If so, does it really work? Here is a link to it that I stumble on while looking for how to quilt on a sewing machine.

Let me know what you think please? I not sure if it right to post this here or not.

I took a class and bought the Batting Buddy. It was for a quilt called Fun and Done. It was easy but if your seams are not perfectly straight it shows up like a sore thumb. I would not use a solid ever again doing it this way. And the quilt will feel firm because of all the stitching.

I have that and used it and really liked the results. I will make another one, maybe when I get my long departed mojo back! It really was, for me, Fun and Done!! My quilt did not feel firm. I gave it to my elderly aunt and she really liked it.

The point of the Batting Buddy tool is more then getting the correct size batting. The women taking the class that didn't buy it was asking to borrow it from the ones that did buy it before class was over.

Yes, I made a baby quilt with this method. It came out beautiful! Since the size of the blocks that I wanted were smaller than the batting buddy template, I simply made my own batting template. I went to the dollar store, bought some flexible cutting boards and cut my batting template out of that. The nice thing is, when you are done with sewing the blocks, you are done with the quilt. You are quilting as you construct the quilt. I noticed that other posters here didn't like this method because she couldn't get the blocks to align. I personally didn't have any problems with the blocks aligning. I really liked the method and I plan to do another. Give it a try! You might like it too!
