Here is a Google search I did for it. I bought mine from Gruber's Quilt shop in St Cloud, MN. (I had to search their site to find the name! lol)
It's called Heat Press Batting Together
(pretty original name, isn't it? )

I just use a wide, long zigzag stitch on my machine to join pieces together. It works fine.

To me this sounds like one of those unnecessary products that are sold to new quilters who don't know any better.

I love Grubers!!! I will check there next time I go. My DD goes to St. Cloud State and is going back a week from Friday I'll check it out then. Thanks for the heads up.

I've tried butting and zig-zagging batting together, but my batting stretched and it didn't work. Could one of you who has had luck with it please let me know the secret?

Sent Terry!

I can tell you that I tested it on a small quilt I was working on and it went through the washer and dryer twice. I didn't have any trouble machine quilting through it, no gummy needle. I couldn't tell where it was after washing and drying it either. It didn't roll up, it didn't flatten anything. I used it on all cotton batting so am not sure about the poly batting but the instruction sheet tells you a lot about it.

I just saw this on youtube..... Interesting and I have a feeling that it just may hold up better than stitching pieces together. If I can find it I'm gonna' grab some and try it...
