Default Batting shipping question

I am thinking of ordering this batting from Amazon, but the price of shipping ($7.28) seems really low for 40 yards of batting.

http://www.amazon.com/Warm-White-Cot.../dp/B0001DTHTG

Has anyone done this? Is this price right?

Thanks for any info.

Dina

It sounds pretty low to me. I'd ask the seller to verify the shipping charges before I ordered it.

I agree - looks way too low, but it came up that way for me too.

Also, check JoAnn's for price. Even with shipping they have a better deal.

I'd ask some questions. It seems awful low to me. But, they might shrink wrap it and ship by weight.

I ordered it from JoAnn's recently (it was 50% off), and I only paid $2.95 shipping (with a coupon). It came (either via UPS or FedEx) in a huge box. Thankfully, the deliveryman took it to the basement door so I could "walk/rock" it into the storage closet. If you can get free shipping, JoAnn's is your best bet.

I looked at the Amazon thing again, and it says it weighs 1.75 ounces. Now I KNOW that isn't correct. I guess the quoted shipping price is based on that incorrect weight?

Excellent question, as I recently bought batting at Hobby Lobby that was only 45 inches wide, when I thought I was getting 90 inches. I won't make that mistake again, but I really appreciate you reminding me.
