I signed up again yesterday while doing my monthly book review at the senior Circle, to do a Third Wednesday of each month Make a Quilt Day. The hospital supports the activities of seniors to keep them moving and healthy and it gets them out of the house. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone and posted on another thread that I am opening it up to quilt board members who would like to come and sew. It can be show and tell, bring your own machine, etc. Of course I have classes I do for newbies too.
They were so excited they tried to get me to start next week. Not...it starts in March.
Anyone like to share and teach and get together wtih friends away from home?????????? Sure is relaxing.
I did this for two years and had to take a break for surgery. I am ready to go again.
We have a large ,big space everything we need. I am so excited. I try to have things to teach them that are quick and easy and then there are those of us who quilt away.
So I can always use ideas....Thank you

Teach them nance-ell's D9p-All shook up. I taught 3 80+ yrs old and they are having a ball with it. Sue 84 has finished the first top and is on her second top. It is just plain fun and has a definite design that looks planned but it "just happens".

That is a great idea. I can do those too and bring fabrics for those who need it. Thanks for sharing. I love those blocks. These ladies are 55+ I think mjy oldest is 88 and she is a hopper, so much energy. OK I will make up some blocks to show them.

Ck out my "Bargello Scenes"...they look difficult but trust me they are fun and easy and you have a painting when your finished without allot of effort. You can make table toppers or lap quilts...
Also I posted Jelly Roll Basket Weave Quilt"...another fun and easy quilt...I posted directions under each topic...

I went in and looked at both. Then I kept looking and looking, love all the pictures you shared. Thank you. The bargello scenes sounded hard but they are great. YOu are soooooo creative. And I love the quick and easy one. Have printed them and will use them. I even saw my fabrics I have that would work as I looked thru yours. And I tought of children's ones for my Project Linus quilts to donate. So glad you found me here. I iwll continue to look for your pictures. Thank you.
