Default stitches

it frustrates me when people look at my stitches and say they are too small..I figure if its neat and stays together its good right? My stitches were way too big on my first quilt. Im not a perfectionist or I would be in serious trouble..lol

The Quilt Police strike again! There will always be those who have to rain on your parade. They are just jealous!

Too small, they obviously have the wrong classes on. I was taught as long as they are all the same size perfect.

I agree with you honeybee, as long as they hold and are neat they work for me. maybe they should check their stitches, they might be TOO BIG.

Your quilt. Your stitches. Your opinion. Unless it is being judged in a show, smile sweetly and secretly think "bite me" when people give unwanted advice.

I'd be feeling proud! and take their comments as compliments. Those Daisy Downers don't know how good you are!

I was always told that they should be uniform in size. I didn't know they had to be a certain size.

I though "too small" belonged in the same sentence as "too thin" and "too rich".

Too small? They haven't looked closely at the quilts in the big shows, have they? It's your quilt, you can do it your way,and they can do their limited thinking elsewhere. I usually say" thank you for the helpful information". When said in the " proper" tone of voice, accompanied by the " look" , it gets the point across.LOL!
