I love any kind of critter fabric. I made my grandson a bug quilt a few years ago. As for bees, it's not that I don't like them, but I am allergic--not life and death, but I swell up big time and sometimes (depend on where stung)I get a red streak following a vein.

Collect more bugs and put them in "jars" on shelves. I am collecting fruits and veggies for the same thing.

I am making a wall hanging using insect fabrics (for my son). So far it looks really cute. I still have to finish one side - it's going to be reversible - and sandwich and quilt. Does anyone know how to keep the photo looking original and not fade? I don't think my computer ink is permanent! Thanks.

I like insect fabrics where the theme of the quilt can use it. This photo is of a quilt I made, wanted a fresh-air, summer picnic effect. My niece wanted pink and green.

Have you seen the mosquito fabric? I bought a half yard earlier this summer, then decided I 'needed' more so I got more! I'm picturing it in little table runners for some of my best friends....
My Dad used to keep bees too. Same as someone else, I only got stung once and I deserved it.

I needed one more "boyish" fabric to go in a quilt I was making - found one with big bugs on it that was perfect. The girl at the cutting table was totally freaked out! Fortunately thhe parents-to-be thought it was great!

There is an on line store called bugfabric.com. They have a great line of animal fabric. Enjoy.
