Ok this is a question for a friend of mine if anyone has the answer it woudl be greatly appreciated. She has the Bernette 340 and has had trouble trying to figure out how to drop the feed dogs, if possible? She has tried to FMQ on her machine and said she has noticed it doesnt have the deep feed of her other machine but still she can feel a l ight feed. She has no idea of how to drop her feed down and woudl appreciate any help> I am not at all familiar with this machine and was unable to help her in this matter. Thank you for any help you might have..

I don't have this machine, I have a Bernina 230PE. I have a button on the right side that i push in and the feed dogs drop. I have heard of some that don't have drop feed dogs on their machines using a piece of posterboard or cardstock and taping it on the throat plate over the feed dogs.

Thank you Sherry i will pass this along to my friend.. she is stumped and I know I have a singer that you cannot drop the feeddogs and I have not seen her machine so I dont know.
