Recently purchased Bernina 180 from a Bernina dealer in Hinkletown, PA. Love the machine. My problem is getting the embroidery designs from my laptop to the computer. The sewing machine requires a serial cable to be attached and my laptop only has USB ports, no serial ports. I am off to Best Buy to see if they have a solution to my problem.

There is an adapter that will fit into your cooputer so that you can hook up the cable. I used one when I had my Bernina 165 and it worked great.

You might also check Radio Shack if you have one near you.
